The Maritime Centre – Newcastle

Newcastle’s newest tourism offering – The Maritime Centre. The Centre is housed in a heritage waterfront building and provides an interactive view of the region’s maritime history from the discovery of coal, through local wrecks and rescues to today’s position as the biggest coal exporting port in the world.

Members of the Infinitus team have been working with the project since the feasibility study was commissioned.  Their role has been in the strategic development of the project, securing funding, liaising with the architect and builders, grant and operational administration, collection management and relocation, the development and installation of the new exhibitions and programs, business planning and establishing operations for a sustainable future.

The Centre is now open in the heart of the city and on the waterfront.
